Predator: Hunting Grounds comes to PlayStation in 2020

Saddle up, the legend of 1987 action classic Predator returns to video games with Predator: Hunting Grounds. This game Predator: Hunting Grounds is an asymmetric, cooperative/competitive multiplayer game from IllFonic, the studio that has made the Friday the 13th video game along the similar lines.

During PlayStation’s State of Play event yesterday, on May 9th Predator: Hunting Grounds was revealed. It will launch in 2020 on PlayStation 4. There is a very brief teaser trailer, though it does not show any gameplay, it does suggest that whoever is in charge of the Predator will have the access to things such as active camo and that menacing, guttural purr and various other super skills and technology it has.

IllFonic’s chief executive Charles Brungardt, said that, in the game, one group of players will control a fire team that packs conventional firepower and one player assumes the awesome Predator role thus gets to use its trademark Plasmacaster. The paramilitary team will be tasked with attacking and destroying the bad guys and recovering loot as the Predator slowly closes in while tracking and ambushing its prey.

Charles Brungardt said that Illfonic is teaming up with Sony Interactive Entertainment and 20th Century Fox to bring the game to PlayStation 4. Back in 2017 Illfonic has published and developed Friday the 13th: The Game, based on the film series of the same name. But the company ended its support and plans for downloadable content because of a lawsuit that is related against the licensor who made the deal to make the game.
