Blizzard recently has shown its latest World of Warcraft cinematic. Safe Haven details how Horde insurrectionist Varok Saurfang found Thrall to the Horde’s cause and recruited it.
The cinematic begins with Saurfang apearing in Outland the destroyed remnant of the first Orc homeworld, Draenor. Regardless of the consequences of the battles in World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade, the land is green and growing. Saurfang finds Thrall, who’s sharpening a sword in his makeshift Orc village.
They discuss Warchief Sylvanas Windrunner, and also how she’s destroying the Horde. Thrall claims he won’t rule the Horde again, then Saurfang asks if Thrall would fight for it insted. They are ambushed by the Undead Assassins.
After the fight with Undead Assasins, Thrall gets angry at Saurfang for puting his loved ones in danger endangering. Saurfang reveals that he followed the Assassins who were sent here to kill Thrall and then informs Thrall the two of them will not be secure, and can not run from this fight. Thrall catches his axe and kicks over his anvil.
This new cinematic gives new context to the way Thrall shows back up within the next World of Warcraft patch. It looks like Saurfang’s resistance has a better chance of catching on now that Thrall is back on his side.
IT looks like Saurfang now has the chance to candidate to slaim a leadership role since Thrall cclaims that he would not lead the Horde in Safe Haven. Though if important Horde leaders or Saurfang would die in this resistance movement, it is possible that it would convince Thrall to change his mind and go back to his rightful role as Warcraft.
The players will be able to find out more of Thrall when Blizzard releases Patch 8.2, Rise of Azshara in the next few weeks.
