Root letter: Last Answer new trailer showing gameplay

Root Letter: Last Answer is a mystery adventure that is solved by using two visual features – live action and illustrations. Last Answer will be the latest title in Root Letter series and it will be released on September 3rd in North America and August 30th in Europe. And today the game got a new trailer that was published by Pqube.

Root Letter: Last Answer is basically an improved version of the original Root Letter that is developed and published by Kadokawa Games a Japanese media conglomerate. In this new version there are new endings available. And there is this new very exciting mode available where you can swap the artwork with live-action images. The beautiful artwork in this game was created by Taro Minoboshi.

The players in this game will follow in the footsteps of Aya Fumino who allegedly was involved in a very mysterious and tragic murder. In this visual novel you will have to solve a mystery that is 15 years old a missing person – Aya Fumino. You will look for clues in Ayas hometown called Shimane and interrogate her friends who once were her friends. You will have to use the evidence to make them confess. And every choice that you make will determine how this story will end.

The official description of the game says:

When visiting the iconic locations of Shimane, keep an eye out for clues and items! You can uncover them with the Magnifying Glass tool, which will be important to progress in the story and can be used as leverage when confronting Aya’s former friends and acquaintances.

Root Letter: Last Answer will be aveilable on The Day-One Edition, which includes a beautiful 100 pages artbook with unreleased works will be available on August 30th in Europe and at a later date in North America. As mentioned before Root Letter: Last Answer will be released in Europe on August 30 on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch and Windows PC version will be available on the same date as North America release on consoles on September 3.
