The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan Plot

A group of American travelers have traveled to South Pacific Ocean for a nice sunny beach vacation, but things don’t go as planned and they find themselves trapped in a ship that not only is sunken and cursed but still has its captain. This title The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan was inspired by the legend about the SS Ourang Medan – a ghost ship.

The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan Gameplay

The Dark Pictures anthology: Man of Medan is played from a third-person perspective and there are five characters in the game. The story unfolds as the player makes decisions that control the endgame, it could save all five characters or kill them. The players explore the cursed ship and they can find various dark pictures that may help them figure out what challenges await them in the near future.

So there are three ways to play the game – “Solo Story” where the player goes through this horror story by himself; “Movie Night” mode where up to 4 players play the story together while sitting on a couch and each controlling their character; “Shared Story” where two players can play out the story online and make co-operative decisions that will affect both characters.

The Dark Pictures anthology: Man of Medan is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft PC on August 30th and is available for pre-order. Check out other new game releases in August.
