Best Strategy Games to Play In 2019

The essence of a great strategy game usually is a well-balanced mix of a great story-line and the survival element or in other cases a multiplayer mode or ability to play against your friend.

Strategy games are the ones that keep your mind most occupied and hours can fly by without you even noticing it.  They can be based on actual historical events or fantasy or sci-fi based etc., but they all can fall into two basic categories: turn-based strategy games (TBS) or real-time strategy games (RTS). These basically define the way the game approaches the concept of time. But basically, it means if you are playing a game where you take turns to play – you probably are playing turn-based strategy game. But if time flows the same as in the real world and all the players can play at once, then you probably are playing a real-time strategy game.

So here are our picks for

Best Strategy Games

Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty

Mode: single-player, multi-player, (online, offline)

Genre: real-time strategy game

Platform: PC

StarCraft is a military science fiction strategy game.

Though this game has an old school real-time strategy game vibe, it has a very rich storyline that’s very exciting to follow.

The story in this game is tough to explain in just a few sentences because it is so rich. But I guess the main things you need to know are: the planet Earth is about to get overpopulated, so the decision has been made to send colonisation parties to establish a new capitol somewhere in the Milky Way – Koprulu Sector. You have lost contact with the earth, and now you must expand and guard your new capitol. To put it very just – you construct a base (gathering minerals and vespene gas), build an army and ride to battle, and this is where you can get really creative choosing a way and time to deploy your forces and finesse to overcome your opponents.

Players can also choose their race. Each rase has its fascinating personality and playstyle, you can select one and become a master at it or just play all three – Terran (resourceful humans with varied technology and plenty of attitudes); Zerg (a ferocious swarm of merciless beasts that devour worlds); Protoss (ancient, noble warriors with a golden armada and advanced psionic technology).

StarcRaft is really worth a try the story behind the game is , and you can play in real time with other players out there online both in one team and as enemies.
